Role Summary: Lead accounting and financial reporting activities for a major automotive segment, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX standards. Collaborate with North American subsidiaries to analyze business performance, manage audits, and implement new accounting standards. Oversee and review financial reports focusing on revenue, sales incentives, and royalties. Develop and train staff, fostering process improvements and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial reporting and account analysis.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual audits, ensuring SOX compliance.
- Present account analyses to management from a business perspective.
- Implement new accounting standards and modify reporting processes.
- Draft accounting memos for new transactions based on guidance.
- Develop staff through knowledge transfer and process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years public accounting or 7 years private accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing/distribution.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP accounting principles.
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
- CPA preferred; experience in a multinational environment advantageous.
