Role Overview: Lead and guide a product engineering team focused on powertrain components. Provide strategic direction, ensure accurate and timely analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Develop team members through mentorship, performance management, and training. Manage all metrics, business plans, and technical reports, while maintaining financial control of expenses and investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set daily activity directions ensuring quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
- Coordinate plant-wide projects to identify and address quality concerns.
- Support and mentor team members in problem analysis and development of solutions.
- Approve technical reports and provide technical guidance.
- Report on team activities and results aligned with business metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering, with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine and component functions.
- Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
- Proven leadership in mentoring, problem-solving, and project management.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing environments and use various analysis tools.
Working Conditions: Moderate lifting, entering manufacturing environments, using hand and power tools, and evaluating quality concerns. Availability for occasional overtime and limited international travel.
