Role Overview: The Strategic Buyer manages procurement activities, including purchasing, cost negotiations, and subcontract administration, to ensure timely delivery of materials and services at optimal costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and review requisitions.
- Lead RFQ processes, analyze supplier quotes, negotiate costs, and assess risks and value.
- Manage supplier communication, resolve issues related to orders, quality, and delivery, and interpret supplier agreements.
- Execute purchase orders, maintain documentation, monitor deliveries, and support procurement operations and cross-team initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management.
Key Objectives: Ensure material availability, supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks to support project milestones, cost control, and compliance, contributing to production stability and program success.
Working Conditions: Primarily office-based with 10–25% travel to supplier sites; occasional overtime during project surges; physical ability to visit manufacturing facilities and handle equipment; proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous; adherence to safety and regulatory standards is mandatory.
