Quality Assurance Assistant Manager

Role Overview: The position oversees the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS) as the primary representative and internal audit lead.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing all QMS activities, ensuring compliance with Honda policies and global/regional standards.
• Leading and facilitating plant-level QMS and quality committee meetings, developing and maintaining QMS documentation.
• Advising departments on QMS best practices, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leading external audits for ISO 9001 certification and Honda compliance, managing internal audit programs, and validating corrective actions.
• Reporting on audit results, plant QMS status, gaps, and improvement initiatives to top management.
• Leading the QMS team by providing guidance, managing resources, and fostering professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, quality, or auditing.
• Lead Auditor Certification with at least 8 years of manufacturing/quality experience, including audit expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Honda’s QMS, SEQCDM guidelines, and relevant systems (MS Office, IntellaQuest).
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments, lead projects, and adapt to changing priorities.

Working Conditions: Primarily office-based with occasional plant visits, potential travel for audits and meetings, and some overtime to meet deadlines.
