Role: The Production Support Engineer supports quality issue investigations, analysis, and reporting by reading blueprints, measuring parts, and utilizing CAD tools like Catia/3D. They manage support activities related to non-conforming production parts, supplier interactions, and large repair projects, aiming to minimize impact on production and improve safety and environmental standards. They develop technical skills through mentorship and contribute to cost reduction and downtime minimization.
Responsibilities: Ensure supplier parts meet specifications, evaluate quality analysis tools like FMEA and PQCT, approve design and process changes, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. They review reports, analyze data, prioritize issues, and coordinate with suppliers and sorting teams to meet quality targets. They develop operational standards, confirm sorting effectiveness, and facilitate communication across departments to address quality concerns.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant experience; proficiency in measurement systems, CAD tools, and quality assurance; strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills; ability to work in teams, prioritize tasks, and present effectively.
Working Conditions: On-site in a plant environment with walking sorting and limited travel, with some overtime expected.
