Data Scientist – Workforce Analytics

Role Overview: A motivated Workforce Analytics/Data Scientist supports the EEO office by providing oversight and compliance capabilities through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct primary and secondary data collection and analysis, interpret results, and develop recommendations for leadership. Utilize tools like Python, R, SQL, and Tableau to create queries and visualizations. Partner with EEO staff to deliver demographic workforce analytics for organizational oversight and reporting. Identify barriers to equal employment opportunities by analyzing workforce metrics and employee sentiment. Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, prepare reports, briefings, and participate in relevant working groups.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field, with 7+ years of experience in social science or workforce analytics. Proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and tools such as Tableau, Python, R, and SQL. Experience with human capital data related to promotion, attrition, and internal churn within an EEO context.

Preferred Skills: Expertise in human capital research, advanced coding skills, and ability to engage with senior leadership.

Other Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph. Must be able to remain stationary, operate office equipment, and communicate effectively, including delivering presentations.
